Chelmer Medical Partnership has a fantastic opportunity for a medical secretary to join their team on a part-time basis, working 30.5 hours a week. This will be a 9-12 month fixed term contract commencing in November 2024 with the flexibility to days and hours to suit the successful candidate.
This is an essential front-line role at the practice,providing an efficient, comprehensive secretarial and administrative support service to the practice management team.
- Providing a full secretarial service including efficient audio-typing, using a digital dictation system, copy-typing and word processing, for all GPs and health professionals, as required.
- Typing of letters, reports, patient referrals, meeting minutes and memorandums.
- Liaising with patients regarding their care and assisting GPs with negotiating care pathways.
- Ensuring that any requests for information from medical records are appropriately dealt with, according to practice policy, and that all subsequent charges are invoiced appropriately.
- Performing any reasonable administrative tasks, as requested by the practice manager.
