The South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Trainee High Intensity CBT Therapists to join the Lewisham NHS Talking Therapies team, which has been an IAPT service since 2009. Successful candidates will work three days a week in the service while completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at Royal Holloway University of London for two days each week. This training, expected to extend until early 2026, aims to equip post holders to provide high-quality cognitive-behavioral therapy to clients dealing with depression and anxiety in various community settings, including GP surgeries and outpatient clinics.

The team comprises a diverse group of professionals, including cognitive behavioral therapists, psychologists, and counselors, and is committed to delivering a range of evidence-based interventions. The role requires flexibility, as post holders may need to travel between different team bases located in Grove Park, Deptford, Catford, and Jenner, with opportunities to conduct evening clinics and group therapy sessions.
