The Role

The successful candidate will carry out planned and reactive tasks involving the movement of patients and a range of goods and equipment efficiently and effectively ensuring the safety and consideration of patients, staff, visitors and all users of NHS Lanarkshire services are adhered to.

Control car parks across the site identifying and taking action identified by NHS Lanarkshire e.g stickering unauthorised/ inappropriately parked vehicles .

To work alongside and support new staff in the working environment

  • Working knowledge Health & Safety including participation in risk assessing individual tasks
  • Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training
  • Undertake and complete NHSS Portering Services Workbook.
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment

It would be great if you also have

  • Recognised SVQ or equivalent qualification relating to post.

This role will be based in Portering Department within University Hospital Wishaw

The working pattern for this role will be Monday - Friday.
