The York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for the role of Medical Laboratory Assistant. In this position, you will work as part of a friendly team, supporting the delivery of high-quality Microbiology diagnostic services alongside Biomedical Scientists and Associate Practitioners. Responsibilities include the receipt and sorting of samples, preparing samples for analysis, inputting patient data into laboratory systems, responding to telephone inquiries, and maintaining cleanliness within the department. Flexibility, a logical work approach, and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Candidates with previous experience in patient data inputting and typing are preferred but not mandatory.
