NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a Health Care Assistant for the Acute Medical Receiving Unit at University Hospital Monklands in Airdrie. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team, providing essential personal care and assistance with routine examinations for patients under the supervision of registered nurses or clinicians. The role emphasises a person-centered approach to care, maintaining hygiene and safety standards within the ward environment. Candidates should have experience or knowledge in personal care, effective communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a busy setting. A commitment to ongoing training and development, including working towards a Health Care SVQII, is desirable.

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join NHS Lanarkshire as a Health Care Assistant. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will carry out routine personal care/assist with routine examination duties for patients, in support of (and supervised by), a registered nurse/clinician. The post holder will ensure a person centred approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy and will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward/department environment.
Duties may vary with the type of ward/department and the degree of patient dependency.
