Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Trust Grade Doctor at the ST1/2 level in the Department of General Medicine, starting as soon as possible. This position is not part of an approved training program but offers various developmental support, including:

  • Named educational supervisor
  • Induction program and bespoke training opportunities
  • Personalized training plan and access to NHS e-portfolio
  • Six-month appraisal and support for achieving foundation competencies

Key responsibilities include participating in daily ward rounds, preparing patients for consultant rounds, making referrals, conducting medical clerking, writing discharge summaries, responding to medical emergencies, engaging in departmental teaching and audits, updating families on patient conditions, supervising medical students, and assisting registrars in procedures.
