Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a committed registered Pharmacy Technician to join the Medicines Management Directorate at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Pontyclun. This Band 5 position involves working as an Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) in a multidisciplinary team within an automated, technician-led dispensary. The role offers the opportunity to gain diverse clinical experience, collaborating closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide a patient-focused medicines management service.

Candidates must hold a BTEC and NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences (or equivalent) and an Accredited Checking Technician qualification. They should be self-motivated, possess excellent communication and organisational skills, and be detail-oriented, able to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team. Key responsibilities include checking and releasing prescriptions, dispensing medications, conducting drug history assessments, and mentoring junior staff. Being Welsh-speaking is desirable but not required.
