An opportunity has arisen for a hard-working, organised and motivated individual to join our small Pharmacy Homecare team at Watford General Hospital.
The post-holder should be looking to extend and develop their knowledge and skills in Pharmacy Homecare and High Cost Drugs.
You will be required to work between 8.30 am and 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday.
To carry out a range of specialist duties associated with the ordering, receipt and costing out of medicines provided via a homecare medicine service using the EMIS Pharmacy computer system.
Produce Purchase orders (PO) on Pharmacy computer systems and match them against deliveries made to patients.
Liaise with suppliers’ accounts staff to deal with discrepancies in the pricing of medicines and associated fees before passing through to the invoicing clerk for processing.
To accurately and promptly maintain detailed databases related to all aspects of homecare medicines provision and provide appropriate reports as required.
To answer occasionally complex and sensitive queries via the telephone, email or in person from patients and staff.
With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.
