This role offers 1 to 3 days per week, term time only. As an Educational Psychologist, you will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and students to promote effective learning, emotional well-being, and personal development. Your expertise will be pivotal in identifying and addressing the psychological challenges students may face, enhancing their educational experience. Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to understand students' educational and psychological needs, providing tailored recommendations for support Support our specialist Autism Resource Base and other internal provisions Provide advice and consultation to staff regarding appropriate interventions and strategies for individual students Work closely with families to provide guidance and support on both educational and psychological matters Deliver training sessions for school staff on psychological issues, teaching strategies, and emotional well-being Collaborate with external agencies and services to ensure comprehensive support for students Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and support plans The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child development, educational psychology, and behaviour management. You will be able to communicate effectively with children and adults, offering empathy and support while maintaining professional boundaries.
