Are you a dedicated and skilled Educational Psychologist looking to make a difference in students' lives? This role offers 1 to 3 days per week, term time only.
As an Educational Psychologist, you will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and students to promote effective learning, emotional well-being, and personal development. Your expertise will be pivotal in identifying and addressing the psychological challenges students may face, enhancing their educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to understand students' educational and psychological needs, providing tailored recommendations for support
- Support our specialist Autism Resource Base and other internal provisions
- Provide advice and consultation to staff regarding appropriate interventions and strategies for individual students
- Work closely with families to provide guidance and support on both educational and psychological matters
- Deliver training sessions for school staff on psychological issues, teaching strategies, and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with external agencies and services to ensure comprehensive support for students
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and support plans
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child development, educational psychology, and behaviour management. You will be able to communicate effectively with children and adults, offering empathy and support while maintaining professional boundaries.
Requirements:
- Qualified Educational Psychologist, holding a recognised qualification in Educational Psychology
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Experience working in educational settings, preferably in a school environment
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement intervention plans
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
