The busy Women’s Health Outpatient Department is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and reliable Healthcare Assistant. The successful candidate will work alongside a team of professionals in providing individual and structured nursing care within an out patients setting including Hysteroscopy and Colposcopy suites. A flexible and adaptable approach is required to meet the needs of the service.
- To adhere to the main standards of performance for patient care, within the concepts of the accepted nursing philosophy and good customer care.
- To provide care, support and clinical function to all patients within the Outpatient area.
- Ensure effective communication and interpersonal skills with the other members of the team. Promote a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for both team members and patients. Be courteous, helpful and supportive to patients at all time.
- To liaise with clinicians, other professionals and community staff as appropriate co-ordinating and maintaining care which will achieve the set standards.
- To assist trained staff or other clinicians with dressings, observations or other procedures appropriate to your competency and skill following a period of training and competency based assessment.
- To be involved with the systems and processes to ensure the 18 week pathway is maintained to the agreed standard. You will be expected to record accurate data in accordance with the requirements for the service and your clinical procedures and work.
