NHS Lothian is seeking a part-time Dental Health Support Worker (Childsmile) to join their Oral Health Service, specifically within the Oral Health Improvement team. The role involves delivering national toothbrushing programs and oral health interventions as part of the Childsmile initiative, a Scottish Government-funded effort aimed at enhancing children's oral health. The position is term-time based, requires PVG Scheme membership, and emphasises inclusivity, encouraging applications from diverse backgrounds, including candidates with disabilities and long-term conditions.

The postholder will work Monday to Friday and the salary will be pro-rated according to part-time hours. It is important to note that there may be a high level of interest in this position, which could result in an early closure of applications. NHS Scotland is also in the process of transitioning to a reduced working week of 37 hours, scheduled for April 2024, while maintaining the same pay structure.
