The City of Liverpool College is seeking a Mental Health Support Officer to join its Safeguarding Team and work collaboratively with the Counselling and Mental Health Team. This role involves conducting mental health educational needs assessments, developing and managing support and safety plans, and advocating for students to enhance their educational experience. The successful candidate will also raise awareness about mental health issues among staff, coordinate with external agencies, and maintain strong relationships with health and education professionals to address students’ needs holistically.

Candidates should possess at least a Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject and experience supporting students with various mental health needs. Strong communication skills, computer literacy, and knowledge of safeguarding policies are essential, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development. The role is term-time only and focuses on providing excellent support to students, fostering their safety and educational success.
