Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking a Team Secretary for the Monmouth Community Learning Disabilities Team (CLDT). This role is a vital point of contact for the team, requiring excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor. Candidates should be able to work independently or as part of a team, handle sensitive situations with diplomacy, and effectively manage their workload under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first contact for patients, relatives, and staff, providing general information and non-clinical advice.
  • Facilitate timely and appropriate communication within the team.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring efficient administrative support (typing, photocopying, filing).
  • Maintain diary management for the team and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Contribute to audits and prepare statistical reports as needed.
  • Attend and service meetings, preparing necessary materials.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential: Business administration qualification or equivalent and relevant secretarial experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with community services and multidisciplinary team dynamics, alongside the ability to use databases or WCCIS.
