Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Consultant in General Internal Medicine with a focus on Respiratory. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and established multi-disciplinary team dedicated to providing high-quality care for respiratory patients. Responsibilities include participation in the acute unselected medical on-call rota, daily management of the Respiratory Department, and the teaching of junior staff and medical students. The role also involves contributing to Clinical Governance, audits, and ongoing professional development.

- Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of patients.
- To share with colleagues responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Respiratory Department.
- Cover duties in respiratory and acute medicine as per job plan.
- Teaching and training of junior staff and medical students.
- To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit.
- To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing professional development (CPD).
