NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Specimen Reception Supervisor for a part-time position (21.5 hours per week) based in Glasgow. This role is critical to the effective operation of the Immunology and Neuroimmunology department, which is the largest of its kind in Scotland. The supervisor will be responsible for a range of technical, administrative, and supervisory tasks, including training staff, managing day-to-day issues, organizing work rotas, and ensuring the proper handling and processing of clinical specimens. Essential qualifications include an HND or equivalent in a relevant field, alongside experience in laboratory reception and specimen handling.

Key responsibilities include operating the sample reception area efficiently, processing samples using laboratory information systems, and ensuring compliance with waste disposal protocols. The role also involves participating in departmental objectives and maintaining documentation related to specimen reception.
