The shift pattern for this position is Mon Fri. (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

An exciting development opportunity is available within the Urology Team, North Sector, for a 12 month seconded Waiting List / Admin Manager.


You Will


  • Be a pivotal member of the Urology Team by ensuring that the administrative and waiting list services supporting the clinical management of Urology patients is delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Be responsible for leading and managing the secretarial, clerical and waiting list staff within Urology North Sector.
  • Work directly with the Clinical Service Manager, the operational and clinical management team, to support our achievement and maintenance of KPIs and assist in us meeting National Waiting Times targets.

Along with having direct line management responsibilities of our Urology admin staff members on the GRI and Stobhill Hospital sites. It is essential that you have NHS experience in the management of waiting lists.


Your Key Skills Will Include


  • The ability to effectively plan, organise, co-ordinate and take forward local projects, with sound knowledge and understanding of NHS waiting times policies and procedures.
  • Be able to demonstrate assertive and consultative skills and be able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities.
  • An ability to deal sensitively using tact and diplomacy in dealing with complex matters is also sought.

The hours worked will be Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:30 and it will be a flexible site based role as it requires to cover both the GRI and Stobhill sites. The main base however will be at the GRI
