The Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Dental Officer with a specialisation in special care dentistry to join their team in Worthing. This role involves providing comprehensive dental care to both adults and children with additional needs, with services operating Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The position is located between St. Richard’s Hospital in Chichester and the new Worthing Integrated Care Centre, set to open in early 2025. Responsibilities include treating patients with respect, conducting domiciliary visits, participating in epidemiological surveys, and collaborating with senior colleagues for treatments under general anaesthesia. A full GDC registration and immediate eligibility for a performer number are required.

- Treating patients as individuals, showing them concern and respect and providing them or their carers (where appropriate) with clear information about their treatment, participating in epidemiological surveys as required.
- Screening client groups as required.
- Domiciliary visits.
- Referring patients to other dental professionals as appropriate.
- Supporting senior colleagues with the treatment of patients under general anaesthetic
