The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 2 Health Care Assistant (HCA) for its EYES/ENT department, which includes Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals as well as community clinics. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, motivated individual who can support the outpatient teams by ensuring efficient clinical services. Key responsibilities include data entry, patient preparation, conducting basic tests (such as visual field testing and vision acuity), assisting nursing professionals, and providing general patient care and support.

Additionally, the HCA will help set up ophthalmology and ENT clinics, travel to peripheral sites as needed, and demonstrate empathy when communicating with emotionally distressed patients and their families. The role demands flexibility, as services may be required throughout the week, including weekends. The Trust is focused on providing high-quality, safe, and compassionate care while working collaboratively with local health services and the community to enhance patient safety and well-being.
