The Bexley Community Drug and Alcohol Service, part of the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking enthusiastic and motivated nurses for the role of Community Addictions Nurse (Band 5/6 Developmental post) in Erith. The ideal candidates, regardless of their nursing discipline, will join a dynamic multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care to individuals aged 18 and over affected by drug and alcohol issues. Key responsibilities include conducting ongoing assessments, care planning, delivering individual and group therapy using CBT skills, and coordinating person-centred healthcare, while promoting health, independence, and recovery within the community.

The role emphasises the importance of clinical management and shared decision-making with service users and their families, ensuring that interventions such as alcohol assessments, harm reduction, and medication administration are effectively delivered. This position not only supports the recovery journeys of service users but also contributes to the broader mission of the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, which offers extensive mental health and substance misuse services to a diverse population.
