Aneurin Bevan University Health Board in Newport is seeking to recruit two Clinical Coders for their Clinical Coding department, welcoming both experienced and inexperienced applicants. Inexperienced candidates will start at band 3 and undergo training to achieve the National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ) or an equivalent internal assessment, after which they will advance to band 4. Successful candidates will be responsible for accurately assigning clinical codes based on patients' health records, which plays a crucial role in improving patient care, clinical audits, and health service management.

The position requires strong knowledge of ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications, medical terminology, and a keen attention to detail. There are opportunities for home working and candidates must possess qualifications at or above GCSE Level Grade C.
