NHS Lothian & Borders is seeking Multiskilled Sterile Services Technicians to join their Staff Bank on a flexible, as-needed basis. Ideal candidates should be reliable team players capable of providing compassionate, person-centered care. The role requires covering temporary staffing shortages across various sites, including Borders General Hospital, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, and other locations. Employees will have the opportunity to submit their availability and book shifts online or via phone, allowing for adaptable working patterns, although there are no guaranteed hours.

We are looking for reliable and dependable supplementary staff in the role mentioned above who are good team workers and who are able to provide compassionate and high-quality person-centered care.
Work is allocated on an "as and when required basis" with different shift patterns available to suit flexible working. There are no guarantees of a fixed number of hours each week as this is a demand led service. Bank workers can submit their availability in advance and shifts can be booked either online or by telephoning the Staff Bank office.
All Staff Bank roles are to cover temporary shortages across NHS Lothian & Borders. This will cover sites anywhere from the Borders General Hospital, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, Western General & St Johns in Livingston, and smaller sites in between if required. Bank staff can book shifts that are requested in any area they prefer and have flexibility to work across multiple sites should they choose.
Interested candidates are required to evidence on application, awareness of the Staff Bank function and individual commitment to being part of our supplementary workforce.
