Autism Together is seeking a Part-Time Laundry & Cleaning Assistant to work in their Residential Services in Bromborough, Wirral, for 13 hours per week (Monday and Tuesday) at a rate of £12.00 per hour. The role involves managing laundry tasks, including washing, drying, and labeling clothing, as well as performing general cleaning duties to ensure high hygiene standards in residential facilities. The assistant will also be responsible for maintaining the safety and upkeep of the building, reporting repairs and defects, and adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Main Tasks
Separate laundry, load and unload the machines ensuring that all clothes are washed and dried at the correct temperatures.
To ensure that all labels are marked with the correct names on them, identifying any items of clothing that are poor quality and report them to the line manager.
To ensure that the clients personal possessions are treated with respect.
The cleaning of toilets, floors, walls, furniture, fittings, appliances etc. to the methods and frequencies as specified, by the Registered Manager of the service.
The carrying out of all non-cleaning tasks and resident related duties to the method and frequencies specified by the Registered Manager of the service.
To report any faults or defects within the fabric of the building, to the Registered Manager, also to ensure the building is secure at the end of the assigned working period.
To work under the Health And Safety Guidelines and C.O.S.H.H., (The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health.) and to store all toxic substances in a safe and appropriate manner.
To ensure that the domestic equipment is in good order, and to look after same, and report any repair or faults to the Registered Manager and or Head of Residential Services.
To monitor a monthly list of cleaning stuffs, and submit these to the Registered Manager to enable them to order appropriate cleaning items from the suppliers.
To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the designated work area and its environs and to observe safe working methods, at all times.
Where appropriate, to undertake training, conducive to personal role development.
