Job Overview We are looking to recruit a Assistant Psychologist (band 4) on a substantive contract on a full time basis. Please refer to Job Description. NSFT now has five under 18s eating disorders teams across Norfolk, including community teams in Great Yarmouth, Norwich and Kings Lynn, an Eating Disorders Intensive Treatment Team (EDITT) which runs an intensive day programme and a team focusing on Avoidant and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). This role will be based primarily in the Norwich locality We are looking to recruit someone with enthusiasm and inter-personal warmth, to a role that will include both clinical work and data collection and analysis. Main duties of the job You will work alongside a qualified clinical psychologist and other members of the MDT and support psychological assessment and treatment, staff training, and collection and analysis of outcome measures. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will be required to write reports for both clinical work and to provide updates on the routine outcome measures. There may also be opportunities to be involved in service development projects and for training to support your role. You will receive weekly supervision from a qualified psychologist. We have close links to the clinical psychology doctoral training programme at the UEA and have supported previous assistant psychologists onto clinical training. You will be working alongside two assistant psychologists in the service line with some leadership responsibilities as a Higher Assistant Psychologist. There are several other assistant psychologists working in the care group and there is a local reflective practice group for assistants and a peer support group. We can accommodate some flexible working, in line with the service need and we are a Family Friendly and supportive team. There will be a requirement to be able to travel independently across the beautiful Norfolk and Suffolk countryside on occasion.
