The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking Healthcare Assistants to join their teams at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. This role involves supporting various wards and specialties on a flexible basis, which includes monitoring patient health, assisting with daily hygiene needs, serving meals, and aiding with elimination needs. Both full and part-time positions are available, and interested candidates are invited to a recruitment event on Saturday, 1st February in Shrewsbury to meet ward managers and participate in interviews.

We are currently looking for Healthcare Assistants to join our teams at both The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. We are recruiting across a variety of wards and specialties. Both full and part time positions are available.
If you are shortlisted for this post, we would like to invite you to our next recruitment event on Saturday 1st February in Shrewsbury. On the day you'll get to meet our ward managers, find out more about life at SaTH and have your interview.
- To work on and a flexible basis to support ward/department teams throughout the Trust delivering care.
- Monitoring patients and performing basic health check
- Serving meals and helping to feed patients
- Provide support to patients to maintain their hygiene needs. This may include actions such as:
- Bathing/washing
- Care of mouth, hair, nails and eyes
- Provide support to maintain their elimination needs. This may include actions such as:
- Encouraging continence
- Emptying urinary catheter bags
- Mobilising to toilet or use of commode or bedpan
- Maintaining hygiene needs after episodes of incontinence
