The City of York Council is seeking an experienced Child and Family Support Worker to join the Assessment and Contact Team at Hamilton House Family Centre. This role, which is open to job sharing, involves providing supervised family time for children in care during court proceedings and working with families to support long-term plans. The ideal candidate will have expertise in assessing family dynamics, conducting direct and life story work with children, and will be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including colleagues in social care, education, and legal services. Key responsibilities include managing a caseload, coordinating family time, and adapting communication methods to suit individual family needs while ensuring the safety and well-being of the children involved.

Applicants should possess skills in offering parenting support and managing complex family situations, often in high-pressure contexts.
