Ioi Support is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers for a new supported accommodation home for young people aged 16-18, set to open in Winchester in January 2025. In this role, Support Workers will provide vital emotional support, assist with daily living activities such as cooking and housekeeping, and help young individuals develop essential skills for independent living. - Provide emotional support and compassionate listening
- Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, cooking, supporting young people with laundry and housekeeping
- Help young people to develop independent living skills including budgeting and daily activities
- Collaborate with professionals to ensure the well-being and safety of each young person including Children's Services, CAMHS, Police and education
- Maintain accurate records and attend statutory meetings
- Promote independence and encourage individuals to participate in social activities
- Advocacy and assistance in accessing services such as medical appointments
- Promoting the education, learning and development of each young person and future education/employment plans
