Porters are currently required for a busy Portering department. You will be responsible for providing a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors to help reduce healthcare associated infections. Rotational rota shift pattern required.
Previous Portering experience in an environment where customer care is a key requirement is desirable, as is a good knowledge of COSHH Infection control standards within a NHS setting. The ability to work as part of a team together with knowledge of specialist health and safety requirements when transferring patients and an understanding of Clinical waste, handling and dealing with spillages of blood and body fluids are vital.
Unsocial hours/shift work is part of the rotational rota required to support this service level agreement. Completion of all induction, eLearning, mandatory training courses, using a computers is an essential part of the Portering role.
