Bluebird Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join their team as Care Assistants in York, starting in 2025. The role offers a competitive salary of £13.20 - £13.55 per hour, along with paid travel time and mileage reimbursement. Care Assistants will provide essential support to customers in their homes, including personal care, companionship, medication assistance, and daily living tasks, all while promoting independence and enhancing quality of life.

The position is permanent, with a structured 4 on/3 off working rotation during day shifts (07:00 - 22:00). While a minimum of two years' experience in the care industry is desired, Bluebird Care welcomes applications from those with a passion for care, even if less experienced. Applicants must hold a valid driving license and have access to a reliable vehicle. What You'll Do as a Care Assistant:

Provide personal care, assistance with meals, and companionship

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for a full-time Care Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis. Our set working pattern for a full-time employee is 4 days one week and 3 days the following week, between the hours 07:00 – 22:00 as follows:

Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Sat & Sun
Week 2 - Wed, Thur, Fri

When working as a Care Assistant for Bluebird Care you need to hold certain attributes which align with our business. Our team members need to be:

Compassionate and reliable with a passion for helping others
A great communicator with a positive attitude
Able to work independently and as part of a caring team

2 years minimum care industry experience is desirable. Although, we accept applications from those with less experience with a desire to work in care. We trust our robust pre-employment training programme will provide all essential onboarding procedures to become a Bluebird Care Assistant.

This is a mobile role, so it is essential that you have a Full Valid Driving Licence and access to your own reliable car/vehicle.
