The Housekeeping Assistant role at Belong in Greater Manchester involves supporting the Head Housekeeper and Front of House Manager in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort across village facilities and households. Responsibilities include delivering domestic services aligned with Belong’s core values, responding to individual customer needs for household support, and assisting with various housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry. The position offers a rate of £12.00 per hour for two part-time positions, each requiring 15 hours of work per week.
Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and a commitment to meeting health and safety standards. Previous experience in commercial or domestic cleaning, along with a Diploma/NVQ 2 in Cleaning & Building Interiors (or a willingness to obtain one), is essential. Successful applicants will undergo an Enhanced DBS check as part of the recruitment process.
As Housekeeping Assistant you will assist the Head Housekeeper/Front of House Manager to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness, hygiene and comfort for customers within all village facilities and households.
You will be expected to:
Deliver domestic services in a manner that upholds the core values of Belong and in accordance with organisational requirements to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of customers, team members and other visiting members of the community that Belong serves
Respond to the needs of individual customers for domestic support to enable them to maintain their household accommodation
Assist the team by responding to requests for assistance with any aspect of housekeeping including cleaning and laundry tasks
Rate of pay for this role is £12.00 per hour.
There are two part-time roles available each for 15 hours per week.
