We are now recruiting for the following 4 positions within our Maintenance team/s;
Based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary

Based at Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin
- Electrical Engineering (Maintenance) (Ref: 2
All AfC Band 3 - £ 25,468 - £27,486 Band 3 – Annex 21 (pro-rata %)
4 year training / fixed-term contract
Applicants must possess the following qualifications at the time of application
Engineering - A min. of 5 Nat 5 grades (SCQF Level 5) at A, B or C in Maths, English, Physics, a Technical subject and one other subject
Plumbing - A min. of 4 Nat 5 grades (SCQF Level 5) at A, B or C in Maths, English, a Technical subject and one other subject
All shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a short Aptitude Test prior to formal interview
Post Requirements
Successful candidates will be required to commence employment in July 2025. Three posts will be based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and one post will be based at Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin. Successful applicants may be required to travel to other NHS Grampian locations on a periodic basis to gain further skills experience. Post holders will be required to undertake and successfully complete both practical and theoretical components of the Modern Apprenticeship training programme – which will include the completion of a ‘learning / evidence portfolio’. Modern Apprentices will also be required to participate in regular review meetings to monitor performance and progress.
