The Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two Clinic Clerks for the CardioRespiratory Diagnostics Department, offering one full-time (37.5 hours) and one part-time (15 hours) fixed-term position for 12 months. The successful candidates will have excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You should have a polite, friendly manner, and be able to deal with sensitive and confidential information professionally.
- Arrange the booking, reception and follow up of out-patients for any clinician in accordance with agreed requirements.
- Complete all required documentation and computer records.
- Deal with any difficulties relating to the clinic, referring to a higher level if required, and makes suggestions for improvement.
- Receive and acknowledge incoming referral letters as appropriate.
- Refer letters to Consultant/clinician for further advice as required.
- Book and advise patients of appointments using the Trust’s booking protocols.
- Ensure clinics are booked to full capacity as per the agreed schedule.
- Make suggestions as to any modification to ensure smooth running of clinic based on demand.
- Ensure that all outpatient targets are met, in relation to appointments.
- Registering urgent patients if have appropriate system access
