Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking a Peer Support Development Worker for a 12-month fixed-term position within its Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Division. The role requires the candidate to utilize their personal lived experience of mental health challenges or learning disabilities to enhance peer support understanding and employment across the Health Board. Responsibilities include supporting, supervising, and training Peer Support Workers, developing training resources for various groups, and collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to improve peer support services. Candidates are expected to demonstrate effective communication with service users, families, and professionals, and to contribute to the Health Board's Peer Support Strategy while promoting recovery principles.

The ideal candidate will have experience in navigating complex workloads and be able to provide support on short notice. This position not only supports the growth of Peer Support roles but also involves delivering training and creating communication strategies to connect with Peer Support Workers.
