Job Overview
An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work within the new Unified Breast Unit in YYF. The new unit is a state of the art breast unit, allowing patients with breast disease and conditions to be treated within a multi disciplinary team, caring for patients from diagnosis and throughout treatment.
Main duties of the job
Under the direction supervision of the Nurse in Charge the post holder will work closely with and support professional staff in a range of duties to ensure the smooth running of the Breast Unit. The post holder will assist patients in all areas of the department and manage their care in an appropriate and caring manner.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care OR equivalent level of demonstrable experience and knowledge of personal care and related procedures which can be acquired by on-the-job training plus local training in Venepuncture and ECG and other clinical duties for the role
- A commitment to undertaking continuing personal development and training Understand and respect the principals of confidentiality
- Able to act in a responsible caring and supportive manner at all times Friendly approachable and supportive Non judgemental
Desirable criteria
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
