York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Clerical Officer to join their Clinical Coding Team within Digital and Information Services. The role primarily involves supporting Clinical Coders by managing case notes and other documents essential for accurate coding of inpatient and day case episodes, which is crucial for the Trust's income. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills and an ability to build relationships across departments, as well as be able to manage the transport and manual handling of case notes while adhering to strict deadlines.

In addition to clerical tasks such as handling inquiries, processing routine documents, and maintaining appointment systems in the absence of a Receptionist, the successful applicant will also input and retrieve data from computerized databases.
