The Practitioner Psychologist role at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Orpington offers an opportunity to join a newly established service for infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and their families. The position involves working collaboratively with a dedicated multi-disciplinary team to design, implement, and assess effective psychological support strategies, contributing to a trauma-informed and neurodevelopmentally-sensitive service within the NICU context. Based across the Denmark Hill and Princess Royal University sites, the role may also expand to include additional sessions in the near future.

This is an exciting time to join a newly established serve for infants who spend time in the neonatal intensive care unit and their families. The

the context of exciting national investment in NICU services. The post is based across both Denmark Hill and Princess Royal University sites and there may be potential for a further 2 sessions (7.5 hours) in the near future.
These posts will contribute to the provision of high quality, psychologically-safe, trauma and neurodevelopmentally-informed service across the neonatal services at King's College Hospital. There is scope for innovate service development, individual and group work with families. You will be joining a receptive, flexible and committed multi-disciplinary staff group who value psychological and family approaches to support families who spend time on the NICU.
