The role of Health Visitor in Children & Families Services at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde involves being the designated Health Visitor for children from antenatal stages to school entry age, focusing on the well-being and developmental needs of each child in the caseload. Responsibilities include assessing individual needs, collaborating with families and agencies to formulate and monitor a child's development plan, and maintaining clinical governance standards.

Candidates must be registered nurses or midwives with a degree-level qualification and a post-registration qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing, registered on Part 3 of the NMC register. The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 08:30 to 16:30 and reflects a commitment to inclusivity, encouraging applications from diverse backgrounds, including the Armed Forces Community. Starting April 2024, the working hours will be adjusted to a 37-hour week while maintaining current pay levels.
