This busy specialty is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated person who can offer excellent administrative support to assist in the smooth running of the endoscopy booking office.
The endoscopy administrative assistant will have responsibility for administrative duties within the endoscopy booking office and reception area. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring an optimum level of efficient clerical support to the department in a timely and accurate manner.
Administrative experience would be beneficial. Working knowledge of using Microsoft Office applications, an understanding of data protection and maintaining strict confidentiality in the healthcare setting are all essential, together with excellent organisational and communication skills, flexibility, good time management and the ability to work as part of a team.
Main duties of the job
The successful post holder will work closely with managers and staff at all levels to help develop and maintain a high quality booking and scheduling service for the Endoscopy Unit.
The Booking and Scheduling office manage Outpatient and Inpatient Endoscopy appointments across The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have specific areas of responsibility, including waiting list management and elective rescheduling, as well as dealing with and responding to enquiries from patients and staff.
The post involves providing face to face reception cover on a rotational basis.
