- To monitor the waiting list and work-list on a daily basis, to ensure national and local waiting times are met and patients have access to healthcare in line with their clinical need.
- To co-ordinate admission and associated pre-operative assessment clinics, ensuring all key hospital staff are aware of organisational arrangements ahead of the scheduled procedure.
- To be the first point of contact for endoscopy patients, answering enquiries and rescheduling appointments as required.
- To ensure that scheduling issues are resolved in a timely matter and patients do not experience undue delay.
- To ensure that information regarding endoscopy procedures and hospital attendance are passed to patients as required.
