The York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Patient Services Assistant (PSA) for Ward 29, specializing in older adult care. This part-time role (30 hours per week) requires flexibility to work a 7-day service, including weekends and bank holidays. The PSA will support nursing staff by performing non-nursing duties, focusing primarily on the nutritional and hydration needs of patients. Key responsibilities include serving as the 'nutrition coordinator' during mealtimes, assisting patients with meals, ensuring proper hygiene practices are followed, completing food and fluid charts, and updating nutrition boards.
