Greater Manchester Police is seeking full-time Senior Assistant Psychologists (Band 5) to assist in the development and implementation of the Mental Health Treatment Requirement (MHTR) service. The role will focus on providing psychological support to community offenders under community orders and those with mental health needs, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and personality disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments including interviews, tests, and observations under the supervision of a qualified psychologist.
  • Assist with evidence-based psychological interventions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop specific care plans, contribute to training on mental health issues, and enhance offender care.
  • Support service evaluation and risk assessment strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.

About the Organization: The position is with Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust, which provides comprehensive mental health services across Greater Manchester.

Salary and Benefits:

Qualifications:
