We are looking for an experienced Service Manager ready to develop and deliver the QMUL and Barts Health Tuberculosis Centre Service and the Barts Heart centre Directorates at Barts Health based across Barts sites Mile End Hospital, Newham Hospital, Whipps Cross Hospital and Royal London Hospital.
TB prevention is a key priority for the NHS and the likely focus of major healthcare changes driven by the government in the coming months and years. At Barts Health, and specifically at the Barts Heart Centre, we are looking to deliver a unique programme of activity to focus on TB incidence, Barts Health manages 8% of all TB cases nationally.
They will work closely with the clinical lead for Barts Health Tuberculosis Centre and Barts Heat Centre Directorates, senior management and members of the local and regional teams as well as relevant third sector partners such as charities and patient/community groups working in this space.

The post holder will be a core team member supporting delivery of the TB service plan for Barts Health.
The post-holder is responsible for providing project management and support to ensure the plan is delivered effectively, working collaboratively with the TB clinical lead, senior management and relevants steering groups and other parties.
The post holder will take a lead on the main project and multiple sub projects and will be responsible for planning, day-to-day delivery, and subsequent performance management, adjusting plans as required to ensure that risks and issues are mitigated.
The post holder will work with clinicians and managers to ensure development of the best possible service to enhance TB patient outcomes in NEL.
A key role will be the rigorous definition and oversight of the projects including risk and issue management.
The post holder will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective management of interdependencies and delivery of objectives.
It is expected that the specific projects managed by the post holder will change over time as the portfolio of work changes.
