NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Higher Level Healthcare Science Support Worker for a 12-month fixed-term position at Clyde Haematology in Paisley. The role involves supporting Biomedical Scientists in Haematology and Blood Transfusion, ensuring the provision of a 24/7 service. Candidates should possess good communication skills and manual dexterity, along with a minimum of three Highers at Grade C or above in subjects including Chemistry or Biology, or relevant qualifications such as an SVQ3 in a science subject or completion of a modern apprenticeship in life sciences.
The working hours will be adjusted to a 37-hour week starting from April 2024, although temporary extensions may occur in some service areas. Clyde Haematology is looking for an individual to work as a Biomedical Support Worker. This post requires good communication skills and dexterity and will support the Biomedical Scientists in both Haematology and Blood Transfusion to provide this 24/7 service. Minimum qualifications required for post are 3 Highers at Grade C or above, which should include either Chemistry or Biology together with Maths, or an SVQ3 in relevant science subject, or completion of a modern apprenticeship in life sciences, or completion of equivalent accredited education / learning.
