The Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust is seeking experienced musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapists for the role of First Contact Practitioner (FCP) in Wigan. This position aims to enhance clinical care within a primary care setting by allowing practitioners to be the first point of contact for patients with undiagnosed MSK disorders. Candidates will utilize their advanced differential diagnostic skills to manage patient care pathways autonomously, which includes assessment, diagnosis, and providing appropriate self-care advice or referrals. The role encourages flexible working hours and requires a commitment to building strong relationships within the Primary Care Network (PCN) team and supporting service delivery, audit, and improvement.

Ideal candidates will have or be pursuing Level 7 learning in MSK and must demonstrate effective teamwork capabilities. They will work closely with a Band 8a FCP to contribute expertise and training to the wider MSK and Physiotherapy teams.
