The role of Junior Sister - Band 6 at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust involves supporting and deputising for the Ward Sister to ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing care and effective management of staff and resources on a busy general cardiology ward, Belgrave Ward. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day ward management, providing educational and training opportunities for staff and students, and acting as a role model in clinical skills and leadership. This position requires a minimum of three years of post-registration experience, including at least twelve months in cardiology, along with competencies in ECG and rhythm strip interpretation.

As part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, the Junior Sister will contribute to the quality service provision and safe discharge processes for cardiology patients. The Trust seeks candidates who are ambitious leaders capable of making a significant impact in patient care. Additional qualifications, such as ongoing studies towards an MSc and teaching experience, are desirable, alongside existing UK professional registration.
