The Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join their Hand Therapy team in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will provide specialist therapy assessment and treatment for patients in a Burns and Plastic Surgery Centre, taking part in a multi-disciplinary team and contributing to service development, clinical audits, and research. This is a part-time, flexible role, with salary starting at Band 6, £37,338 per annum (pro rata for part-time). Can you assess and treat own caseload of patients as part of Multi-disciplinary Team provide Hand Therapy in a specialist Burns and Plastic Surgery Centre, contributing to service development and participates in Clinical Audit and research?

Main duties of the job

We currently have a vacancy in our hand therapy team, delivering clinical interventions both face to face and virtual appointments to a wide range of patients under the management of our plastic surgery, orthopedics and rheumatology consultants.
The post will give the successful candidate an opportunity to experience different aspects of the specialty and there is scope to rotate across other areas of Burns and Plastic Surgery in the future.
Depending on previous experience, the post could be available to a Band 5 applicant who can work towards competencies with the support of senior staff. Full training will be given.
