We are delighted to be able to offer this opportunity which has arisen within Fife Health and Social Care (H&SC) Partnership for a Band 5 Treatment Room Nurse to work within the CTAC Service within General Practice in the Glenrothes area. You will be based within a GP surgery, working in clinics to provide care and treatment including wound management, venepuncture, compression bandages, doppler assessment, injections, and a range of evolving nursing tasks - ensuring clinical care and quality standards are met. The Treatment Room Nurse will provide safe, effective, and person centred practice to meet the needs of people in Fife. You must possess excellent communication skills, time management skills, be adaptable to change and evidence continuing personal development In applying for this role you will be an Adult/General Nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. You will have the necessary skills and experience necessary to work within a Primary Care setting, to deliver high quality standards of care and be able to work as part of a multi-professional team. You must have flexibility as may be required to cover other treatment rooms within Fife also, as CTAC is a Fife-wide service. A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment. NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
