NHS Scotland is seeking a Band 5 Treatment Room Nurse to join the Community Treatment and Care (CTAC) Service in Dunfermline, specifically within General Practice in the Glenrothes area. The role involves providing a range of clinical treatments such as wound management, venepuncture, and injections, while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Candidates must be registered Adult/General Nurses with strong communication and time management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-professional team. Flexibility is required for potential coverage of treatment rooms across Fife, and applicants will need to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
The position comes with a reduced working week of 37 hours starting April 2024, with pay remaining unchanged, though some staff may need to temporarily work up to 30 additional minutes weekly until their schedules align with the new hours. You will be based within a GP surgery, working in clinics to provide care and treatment including wound management, venepuncture, compression bandages, doppler assessment, injections, and a range of evolving nursing tasks - ensuring clinical care and quality standards are met. The Treatment Room Nurse will provide safe, effective, and person centred practice to meet the needs of people in Fife.
You must possess excellent communication skills, time management skills, be adaptable to change and evidence continuing personal development
In applying for this role you will be an Adult/General Nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
You will have the necessary skills and experience necessary to work within a Primary Care setting, to deliver high quality standards of care and be able to work as part of a multi-professional team.
You must have flexibility as may be required to cover other treatment rooms within Fife also, as CTAC is a Fife-wide service.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
