Millthorpe School, part of the Excel Learning Trust, is seeking Exam Invigilators to join their established team in York, starting as soon as possible. The role involves ensuring a calm examination environment, verifying student attendance, providing necessary materials, and adhering to examination board rules to help students perform their best. Invigilators will be hired on a casual basis, primarily during the peak exam periods in May and June, with additional opportunities in November and January. While previous experience in exam invigilation or a school environment is beneficial, it is not required as full training will be provided.

Millthorpe School are seeking to recruit Exam Invigilators to join our existing, well-established team, to start as soon as posible.
Working as a team, our Invigilators ensure a calm environment is provided for our students to help them perform at their best. Invigilators will help to make sure the right students are in the right places, provide vital information and ensure that students have all materials and information needed for each exam to ensure examination board rules are adhered to. Exams can be amongst the most important and stressful events for our students; it is therefore essential that they are conducted in the right way and our Invigilators are crucial to this process.
Exam Invigilators work on a casual (as and when needed) basis, with their peak periods of work during May and June each year. Other periods of work are during November and January. With this in mind, we would like to appoint our Invigilators as soon as possible, but we can be flexible on start dates. As this position does not lead to a regular working pattern, we find it suits people best who are looking for something extra to fit around existing commitments. Ideally you will be able to commit to a minimum of three days work in any given week.
Whilst experience of exam invigilation, and/or working in a secondary school environment would be helpful, it is not essential as full training will be given.
