The Senior Lymphoedema Assistant (Level 3) has a greater degree of autonomy than the Healthcare Assistant and undertakes a broader range of health and care in accordance with policy and procedures.
Due to internal movement of staff, we are looking for motivated individuals who want to be part of a value based service. The successful candidate will be expected to assist co-ordinating, organising & preparing for the smooth day-to-day running of the lymphoedema clinic and will work under the guidance and direction of all the registered lymphoedema therapists in the lymphoedema team, to assist with specified duties and tasks, providing an efficient, caring, patient focused service. Part of the role will also be to support the On the Ground Education programme that supports our district nursing colleagues in the managment of these patients.
You will also deal with queries from patients, health professionals and other agencies face to face and by telephone. You should have administration skills with experience of word processing/Microsoft office. We are looking for someone who is conscientious, caring and empathetic, and reliable and an individual can work well as part of a team but also use their own initiative.
Good communication skills are essential. This post involves administration as well as clinical duties as part of the role

The post holder will work on their own initiative, undertaking delegated tasks with appropriate supervision in place from a registered practitioner/assistant practitioner.
The post holder contributes to assessment and assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans. They will supervise other staff and promote the delivery of high quality care.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
